Home Town: Sydney, Australia Instruments played: Drums, a little bit of guitar First record bought with own money: Dynasty by KISS First instrument: My parents bought me a toy drum kit when I was 4, so I would say drums were. Other Bands: I play in Blasted To Static with Jeff Martin (Racer X) and have played in too many cover bands to name. Music Heroes: Richie, I love the soul and spirit that he plays with and a killer voice, Thomas Lang & Todd Scherman are just absolute beasts behind the kit and make everything look so easy. Favourite bands: I am obsessed with Nightwish right now!! Love the symphonic metal vibe, great composition and musicianship. Their music takes me to another place. Alter Bridge: Great songs, heavy but melodic. Queen kicked off my obsession with music when I saw them play Wembley on TV. So many memorable, classic songs. 3 bands you would love to tour with: Steel Panther: do I have to give a reason why? Bon Jovi: They still play the biggest shows. Anyone playing big stadiums really. Favourite country to play in: United States Worst stage disater/tour story: I was playing a gig and the drums were set up on two risers that were pushed together, but not secured. By mid set the risers had started to separate without me realising and soon enough, one of the legs on my stool fell down between the cracks and I more or less got swallowed up by the stage!! Its not all that subtle when the drummer stops playing and literally disappears mid-song…. Best tour story: Hmmm…. buy me a drink some time and I’ll tell you. Having someone tell me when I came off stage that I was “erotic” was pretty funny. Favourite Instrument: My custom shop ESP model made - It has everything in an instrument I could ask for - amazing bit of gear. Favourite country to play in: Japan.. (sorry Australia) but Japan gets the nod... Worst stage disater: Nothing really to report here.. just technical difficulties really. Best tour story: On the metal all stars tour, after the first arena show, I was at our hotel bar having a few quiet beers. I turn to look either side of me, and it's Zakk wylde and Udo Dirkschneider.. just sitting quietly with a few drinks - it was quite epic on reflection but no big deal at the time. First instrument: Guitar Other Bands played in: Wishing Tree and many cover band. Music Heroes: David Bowie, the guy didn't care, he created trends not followed them, Roger Waters such a Fkyou attitude, Dave Mustaine picked himself up, and forged ahead. Favourite bands: Megadeth, Avenged Sevenfold, Pantera. 3 bands you would love to tour with: Megadeath, Metallica, Van Halen. Favourite country to play in: United States Worst stage disater: My band played in a country town in a club with no stage, so we built one out of particle boards, milk crates, and gaffe tape. First song they separated and my foot went though. I hobbled the rest of the gig, I nearly broke my ankle. Funniest tour story: Once played a gig that was so unexpectedly packed we could only get to the stage from a roof access.
